admin console inaccessible

hello every one

I am a beginner at alfresco and I just installed it.
the problem is that when i access the alfresco explorer, i don't find the admin console even when going to the link More actions ( i find manage content rules ... but nothing like Administration console).
any help would be apreciated!

Re: admin console inaccessible

did you login as admin or does the user you used to login has administrator rights?

Kind Regards

Mieke

Re: admin console inaccessible

yes i actually logged in as admin, it's the first use after installing it.

is more configuration necessary??

thanks in advance

Re: admin console inaccessible

Then admin console is a separate icon on the top next lefthand to the user settings.

actually i was misguided by the fact that in the documentation, the admin console was said to be in the link menu "More action", whitch happens not to be the case :!:

That's unfortunate! Please raise a bug in JIRA pointing out the mistake.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: admin console inaccessible

Ohh ... and one correction - or addition : There is a second sets of admin consoles, allowing to manage parts of the system. These are not linked in the client :

Repository Admnistration
http://localhost:8080/alfresco/faces/jsp/admin/repoadmin-console.jsp

Webclient Customisation
http://localhost:8080/alfresco/faces/jsp/admin/webclientconfig-console.jsp
